Welcome to the YourScore blog

Every fan believes they know the game better than the person next to them. The pub argument, the group chat pile-on, the "name his last five clubs" test on the walk to the ground — football runs on people backing their own knowledge.

YourScore exists to settle it. Daily football quizzes where speed matters, 38-0 where you build an all-time XI and take it head-to-head against the world, and leagues where you and your friends find out — over a whole season, not one lucky guess — who actually knows their football.

This blog is the reading end of that. Here's what you can expect from it:

What we'll write about

• The stories behind the questions. Every quiz we publish starts with something real — a record, a transfer, a moment that gets argued about years later. Some of those deserve more than one question.
• Records and the people who hold them. The numbers fans quote from memory, and the ones everybody gets wrong.
• The big debates. Every day there's a debate running on YourScore where thousands of fans pick a side. We'll dig into the ones that split the room.
• How to get better. What separates a decent quiz score from a great one, and what the sharpest players on our leaderboards do differently.

Who this is for

Fans. Not pundits, not stat accounts — people who love the game, watch it every week, and want somewhere their knowledge counts for something.
